Impulse Fish

Maria, her mom, and I went into Wal-Mart (<_<) today to buy a bike pump, and ended up bringing home a Betta fish.

Where he was found

Someone seems to have picked up a Betta fish from the opposite side of the store (pretty far) and lost interest or been told by a parent to put him down. Maria wanted to hang onto the fish even after figuring out where he came from in the store. He’s been named Pump, and now has a tank and everything set up above the TV in the living room. I’ll post a pic of that once it’s safe for him to go into his new home.

Well, my MacBook pro has fallen victim to what seems to be a common problem. Going to go to the Apple Store tomorrow to get the unit replaced, since I’m still within the 14-day grace period. Here’s a picture of what the intermittent problem looks like…

I knew the temperature difference between southern California and San Francisco was considerable, but jeez. High temps for the next three days: 81F, 93F, 99F.

In the past, I could organize the links on the side however I wanted to. Now it seems that I have to either do some major category hacking (not gonna happen) or just let them be alphabetized. Might seem minor, but it’s making me debate changing what CMS I’ll use this time.

Got tired of this server’s hard drive always being just a few megabytes away from fullness, so I swapped it out with a larger one. I did backup all the mysql databases before the swap, but the wordpress I was using was so old it’d be a royal PITA the get that information on this install. So, brand new blog.
